The Wullie Fraser Band are the bees knees. Top class musicians that can move a ceilidh along at a good lick yet still be sensitive to the dance floor abilities of the crowd. Our Burns' Night in Zagreb was held in the 5 star grandeur of the old Orient Express hotel now called The Esplanade. In attendance were The Honorary Patron of the Caledonia Club, The British Ambassador and his guest The President of Croatia. The Ambassador noted that it was very unusual for a such a high ranking dignitary to stay so late in the evening! We therefore concluded that the President of Croatia is also a fan of the band. Many thanks again Wullie. See you in 2011. Paul Wisely Wullie. Willie, I just wanted to say thanks for the gig last Friday. Folk kept saying how good you were, so I was really please I'd booked you! George George Moffat, following the Clan Moffat Gathering, Moffat, August 2010 Just a quick note to say thanks so much for coming over to our wedding the other week. I've heard all positives about the band, so don't be surprised if you get more requests to venture west more often in the future...... You were all great and made a fantastic evening - we really appreciate it. John Ferguson, following his wedding ceilidh, Barrhead, June 2010 Just celebrated my 50th birthday with a ceilidh, music provided by Wullie's 2-piece. Brilliant night for me, highlights being the Riverside Jig, the Swedish Masquerade and of course the Orcadian Strip the Willow. Wullie was great at getting everyone involved right from the start, going through the dances clearly so that many who hadn't even been to a ceilidh before could jig the jigs. One wee 7 year old told me it was 'the best party ever', an American at their first ceilidh said it was 'totally amazing' and the sight of an age range of 5 to 75 all up dancing at the same time is a great testament to how Wullie can get a group of people to have a whale of a time. Book them now! Bill Stobie, following his 50th birthday party, Edinburgh, May 2010 Hey guys, I have to say, before the ceilidh, many of them did not want to go as they said it would be boring - after the ceilidh, we couldn't shut them up about the greatness of the evening. Joanne Dudgeon, following St George's School boarding ceilidh, Edinburgh, April 2010 The Wullie Fraser Ceilidh Band..............They kept our wedding guests happy, mixing and dancing until the wee small hours! Thank you guys for many hours of amazing ceilidh music. There were three of you but your sound filled the whole of the dance floor and beyond! I know people appreciated your pace and guidance through the dances. We had so many positive and complimentary comments from friends and family........ even the older generation, so in our eyes you made history! We will recommend you to anyone needing a unique ceilidh band but really your music speaks far more than our words ever could! You added something special to a fantastic evening. John and Shona McKay, following their wedding ceilidh, Inverness, April 2010 Wullie Richard Gardner, Amnesty International, following their annual ceilidh, Edinburgh, March 2010 We had a great night and the band really got everyone up dancing and set everyone up. All the guests at the wedding let us know how it set the mood for the evening and made sure a great time was had by all. I would definitely recommend the Wullie Fraser Band to anyone that was looking for a top quality ceilidh. Paul Liddell, following his wedding ceilidh, Glasgow, February 2010 The ceilidh at our wedding was brilliant. Everyone, from the Highland pros to the Southern newbies, loved the band. They were really professional and had great craic. Wullie taught us all a couple of new dances as well - thanks very much guys! John and Kim MacDonald, following their wedding ceilidh, Edinburgh, February 2010 You are a really great band with a lot of energy and life. You helped to make our wedding so special. Thank you so much. Rev. Roger Simpson, following his daughters wedding, York, July 2009 The Band's Celidh, was the highlight of the evening's entertainment at the wedding of my daughter and son-in-law. It was a great introduction to Scottish country dancing for the Dutch guests, who thanks to the clear instructions were all able to take part to the full. Jonathan Sheldrick, following his daughters wedding, Glasgow, July 2008 Fantastic Playing. Thanks for helping make the evening so enjoyable Murdo Fraser MSP, Deputy Leader, Scottish Conservative Party I would like to say how professional your band was as well as enthustiac and lively. You talked through the dances clearly and kept everyone jigging into the wee small hours of the new year. Perfect for our Hogmanay celebrations. We would love to have you back this year!
