Since forming in December 2005 whilst studying at St Andrews University, The Wullie Fraser Ceilidh Band have played extensively for weddings, birthday parties, balls, charity events and other social occasions throughout Scotland, Great Britain and overseas, from their base in Edinburgh.

In April 2009 they embarked on their furthest trip yet, playing for a wedding in KwaZulu-Natal, South Africa.

In February 2010 the band spent a memorable weekend in Zagreb, playing for the Caledonia Club of Croatia's Burns Supper. Among the ceilidh dancers were the new Croatian President Ivo Josipovic and the British Ambassador to Croatia, HMA David Blunt. For pictures click here. The band enjoyed another weekend in Zagreb playing for their 2011 event.

In May 2011 the band were invited to Prague to play for IPEG's annual congress at the Prague Hilton Hotel. Special thanks to Gordon MacKinlay and Jacqueline Narvaez.

in June 2011 they were invited to play for a wedding ceilidh in the South of France.

In January 2012 the band spent a memorable weekend in Tallinn, playing for the British Estonian Chamber of Commerce's Annual Burns Supper. Special thanks to Egle Org for all arrangements.

Primarily a 3-piece band (MIDI Accordion, Fiddle and Drums) the band can play as a 2-piece depending on budget.
